OBJECTIVES & PURPOSE:

* Establish a National Canadian network of Canadian Muslim individuals and organizations.

* Encourage Canadian Muslims to participate in the national, social, cultural and educational aspects of Canadian public life towards the well-being of the country.

* Acting in matters affecting the status, rights and welfare of Canadian Muslims including conducting research regarding the history of Canadian Muslims, their ethnic diversity, their contributions to Canada, and their views on policies regarding national and international issues.

* Presenting the interest of Canadian Muslims to Canadian provincial and federal governments, political parties, media, and other organizations.

* Assisting in the efforts of:

a) Improving the social, economic, educational and spiritual conditions of Canadian Muslims,

b) Alleviating the suffering of Muslims throughout the world,

c) Promoting peace and justice throughout the world,

d) Acting as a resource to Muslims and non-Muslim Canadians to achieve the above objectives.
